Remember how much fun it was to play with a ball when you were a child? A simple sphere was an endless source of inspiration and activity. And it still is. Using an exercise ball can be a challenging way to add variety and fun to your workout. Blends the ancient science of yoga with the unique training possibilities of the exercise ball to create an innovative and effective workout. A unique combination of Hatha Yoga asanas and ball work that builds lean muscles while providing natural stress relief.

Fact about Ball:
Swiss Ball were used in 1960 by a physical therapist  to treat orthopaedic and neurological disorder.
It improves motor skill & neuromuscular stimulation with children with cerebral palsy.

YOB strengthens your core muscles, including your abdominal muscles, back muscles and the muscles around the pelvis. You can do many core- exercises & yoga asana with a fitness ball.

Do each core-strength exercise five times and maintain good form and technique. As you get stronger, gradually increase to 12 to 15 repetitions. For most people, a single set of 12 to 15 repetitions can build strength and improve fitness as effectively as can multiple sets of the same exercise.

Breathe freely and deeply and focus on tightening your abs during each core-strength exercise i.e IAP intra abdominal pressure.

Strengthen abs &
other core muscles

Replacing your desk chair with a stability ball seems like a good way to sneak in some core exercise while you work.

Sitting on a chair requires no muscle activity at all and it actually hurts us for a number of reasons, “For one, people tend to slouch and use poor posture, and sitting in a chair puts your abs on ‘slack’ and decreases core strength. Using an exercise ball counteracts both of these things.Sitting properly requires subtle muscle contractions of the core, hip and leg muscles to maintain balance, which contributes to muscle tone.

If you enjoy yoga, there are plenty of ways to shake up your usual routine and one is adding new tools to the mix.

Using exercise ball is just one of those options and a great way to give your body a different kind of support to help you  increase  balance  and flexibility.

The stability ball is a great way to get extra support for moves that require endurance and flexibility and it also adds a balance challenge to some poses.

The lack of stability only adds to the workout, firing up different muscles and strengthening the connective tissue that supports the joints of the body.
